It goes without saying that word of mouth is still, by far, the best way of acquiring new customers.  The reason that a word of mouth recommendation is so strong is because it’s usually between friends and family or at the very least, the person giving the referral must have had such a positive experience that they feel compelled to suggest you as an option.  A level of trust and confidence has already been achieved, purely because it’s been received from a source of trust, as in the family member or friend. 

So, word of mouth is great but how can you increase your referrals?  What else can you do The best approach you can take with your marketing efforts is to think “how can I help my customers?”  Too many companies want to push their product or service in the face of as many people as possible without considering how they appear or how they can build relationships.

Creating a plan (marketing strategy) is by far the best way to succeed.  This can include several options from Google Adwords (PPC) to generate traffic to your site, Social Media advertising such as on Facebook or Instagram to both generate leads and also educate your audience through to unique content.

Written content, such as a blog, podcasting, and video are great ways to lead people to get to know who you are, what you do and how you can help them.

This can be a daunting thought for many, especially if you have no desire to suddenly appear o YouTube nor have any desire to – Don’t worry, it’s about creating a plan that best suits you and your business.
